When Ardross Distillers told us the story of Mrs Black, the venerable village dean that gave them her blessing for rebuilding the local lochside distillery, we immediately thought the brand and bottle should embody the old soul’s legacy, wearing the iconic black tartan. When we found the old medallion whose features were attributed to Céres or Flora - deities associated with nature, cereals and brewing - wearing the iconic scottish roses as a headdress, we knew we had unshakable foundations for the brand.
